Wits Youth Soccer Academy, Wits University Football Club (WUFC), the student club was established in 1922 and is still going strong! Highlights from 2018 include the men making the 2018 Varsity Football final and the woman winning their league and gaining promotion to the Sasol League.

The club has both men’s and women’s teams, and competes in the annual Varsity Football Tournament, the Rand Central local SAFA league (RCLFA), in the Soweto Football Association (SFA) leagues and in the annual USSA championships every December. The men’s squad is coached by Mark Haskins, the women’s by Nthabeleng Modiko. The women’s team also occassionally participates in external tournaments, such as the annual Zodwa Khoza Cup. WUFC’s junior programme caters for youngsters – girls and boys – from 5 years old to u-17 level. They train and play matches at Marks Park (cnr. Judith & Beyers Naude in Emmarentia). Training times are 17H00-19H00.
