Wits Icam Number, ICAM is here to help make your stay on campus safer. To do this we have done and are still doing many things. We’ve closing off the campus to allow purposeful access. The system also controls access to certain buildings, PC Labs and Libraries.
We are in the process of creating (as far as possible) a cashless campus. Instead of carrying cash to pay for purchases on campus, you can load money into your ICAM account and pay using your ICAM card.
BONUS : The value is not stored on your card, so if you lose your card you don’t lose your money. You must however block the card ASAP! You can block a card 24/7 either directly with ICAM or with Security (CB1).
