Prospective students must consult the Postgraduate Faculty yearbook and Programme search for more information on the programmes offered.
The Department of Accounting offers the following postgraduate qualifications:
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Sciences (07220036) and Certificate in the Theoryof Accountancy(07210011) (Steeds in 2019 in Afrikaans aangebied). You must hold a SAICA accredited undergraduate BCom degree (NOT a certificate, diploma, BTech degree or degree from a Non-SA university) to enroll for the PGD and CTA. PGD Accounting Sciences Selection application formOnce you have applied electronically to study at UP at postgraduate level, please print and then complete this form. Please check the Information brochure for detail on submission of the completed form.
NOTE:
– Programme commences at the beginning of 2nd week of January.
– You need only enroll for the PGD. Faculty Administration will, provided you were successful in enrolling electronically for the PGD, later enroll you automatically for the CTA at no extra cost.
