UP College Residence, The Republic of Kollegetehuis is situated on the Residence Campus of the University of Pretoria; on the corner of Duxbury and Lynnwood roads in Hillcrest.

The residence has many facilities that make living in Kollege a lot more convenient. The residence has a clubhouse with a bar, a lounge and televisions as well as the “Groen Monster” (snooker table); the banquet hall which also serves as recreational area with a television, dart board, pool table and ping-pong table. The lapa which is called the “Bandla”, can be used for various occasions like the annual father son braais or oumanne reunions. The residence also has a computer lab with 24 hour internet access and printing facilities.
In front of Kollegetehuis, are the well-known “Heilige Klippe”, only citizens of the Republic can sit on them. If any students touch or sit on the rocks or walk underneath the Arch of Trajanus, they will be bathed in cold or hot water, each has its own pros and cons. Kollege also has a small jacuzzi  called the “orgbad” (roman bath),In which socializing takes place and many stories are swapped.

The computer lab has 19 computers, all with internet access and a laser printer. The EC office has a computer with internet, a laser printer. The laundry room has 5 washing machines and 5 dryers, so the residents can do their laundry without the need for ironing.

The residence has 72 double rooms and 96 single rooms. The first years (vremies) stay in double rooms. One can stay in a single room from your second year onwards.
