Stellenbosch University Doctor, Welcome to Campus Health Services – your primary health care provider on campus! We officially opened our doors as Campus Health Services (CHS) in May 2009. Before that date we had been known as Student Health Services and only students of Stellenbosch University (SU) could access our services. Now we are able to assist both University staff and students.
We offer an integrated, easily accessible health service where SU students and staff can find assistance for a range of health concerns. We focus on five health care areas, namely
- family medicine;
- health promotion and preventative medicine;
- sport and exercise medicine;
- occupational health; and
- Physiotherapy
To visit a doctor, you can make an appointment telephonically or in person. We are open daily Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00, including University holidays. We are a preferred medical service provider for SU staff who belongs to the OCSACare medical-aid scheme and an accredited member of Discovery medical aid. Our fees are set at standard medical aid rates and claims are submitted electronically. We also forms part of SU’s health and wellness initiative.
Our two branches are situated in Claassen Street on the Stellenbosch campus (between Metanoia and Heemstede residences) and the student centre on the Tygerberg campus.
